so some weird stuff has been happening in my life lately…  for one, my friend beaker called me up out of the blue (which itself is weird, cuz he never calls me), and invited me to come and play at manhattan on monday, which i did, and it was pretty fun, except that the person i was hoping would come (it was his birthday), didn’t. but it was still fun. (insert topic change here)

another thing is, while we (my parents and i) were at lunch about two weeks ago, my mom was talkin about how my brother is trying to get in touch with his biological father, and that they had set up a meeting, and then she asked me if i was interested in meeting my biological father, which i said i was, but only to see what he looks like, to see what kind of genetics i have, and if i have any other siblings that i don’t know about, etc. not to fill any ‘holes’ that i may have in my life, my adoptive father takes care of us very well. but right after i had said to her, that i was interested in finding out if i had any siblings, she told me in a very ‘it-happens-all-the-time’ way, that i had a sister who was about 23-24 yrs old.   !!!   that pretty much floored me for the rest of the day…  i mean, its not everyday that you find out that you have another sister out there that you don’t even know.

so it got me thinkin that i’d like to meet her, and find out about them and everything, which is weird, because two weeks ago i was fine with my life, and had no real desire to meet my father or anybody from that side of my family, but last night my mom called me up to tell me that she had found my uncle and had contacted him about me and my father…   and he wants to meet me…   so we’re (my parents and i) are going to go to lunch with him on friday.

yeah… weird.

i have to admit, i’m a little nervous. i mean, its so weird to find out that there are people out there who are related to me that i don’t even know, that know about me, and want to meet me. its kinda messin with my head.

while my mom was visiting with my uncle, she gave him a picture of me, and he told her that he was going to put that picture on my fathers workbench and see if he notices and what he says about it…   that would be weird also (i told you this post was about weird stuff), to all of a sudden have a picture of your long lost son on your workbench and not know who it was…

i just remembered like 20 min ago that i have a lab that is due tomorrow, (it shoulda been done two weeks ago), along with the lab that i have to do tomorrow, on top of that i took a math test today, which i got at most 3 out of 8 correct. my boss at egi is askin about these figures that i’m supposed to have drawn by tomorrow, and my bosses at paulsen are asking if i can come in tomorrow to work…

that’s a lot of stuff for one day:

• do the lab that’s due tomorrow
• work on egi stuff
• work at paulsen
• and go to lab

the computer at paulsen construction was gettin to be pretty full, so i decided that it was about time to wipe the hard drive, get rid of the dual-boot that was on there and repartition the drive with one drive. because the reason that there were two partitions is no longer an issue.

so i did, except that the dumb thing decided that it wanted to make the new drive (freshly formatted, etc.) drive letter f ??? so i get windows all installed (all the while not knowing it was installing on drive f), which takes about an hour, and then check the thing and notice that its drive f. so i take the drive that was supposed to be f, and change it to d and try to change the new drive to drive c, but it won’t let me. but it’s okay, i’m not too pissed, just a little annoyed, cuz i can easily reformat, remove the conflicting drive, and reinstall windows, not that big a deal, except that when i remove the drive, and go to reformat, the computer doesn’t detect the hard drive !!!  OMG!  so i have to flash the BIOS, fiddle with shit, and finally get it to detect the hard drive after about a half an hour of stress. so it’s finally installing, and i’m playing on another computer, but i just wanted to let everybody know, that computers suck!  just buy ‘em and leave ‘em alone.
